Whole Foods Market- Taqueria

Happy Taco Tuesday! Today, I ventured out to Whole Foods. I saw on google that they had a Taquería so I decided to try it out. I expected it to be a healthy, fancier version because it said $$$ on google, but it was actually pretty cheap and just not that good. First off, the lady there seemed super confused when I tried to order tacos. She was super friendly, but it took her a while to find the tortillas and there wasn’t a procedure that she followed. I guess not many people come to order tacos here. Anyway, she steamed the tortillas which was weird and then let me choose the meats. I’m pretty sure they’re supposed to make you order three of the same meat, because of the different prices, but she let me pick three different meats. Then, I added cilantro, onion, and three different salsas: pico de gallo, pineapple salsa, and avocado crema. The tacos didn’t look too bad, but at first touch, the tortillas were ice cold and falling apart at the bottom. The meats however weren’t half bad, surprisingly. They were a bit too salty at many points in time, but they were juicy and flavorful overall. They were supposed to have specific tastes according to the menu, like tangy or garlic-y, but they all just tasted salty. Whole Foods offers your typical “health nut” snacks, drinks, groceries, and apparently tacos too now. Overall, although they usually are a bit pricier, I like Whole Foods, but I probably wouldn’t recommend their tacos. They do have a ton of other food offered that you can pack into little containers yourself or ask them to make for you (sandwiches, salads, ...). Also, the snacks pictured above are so good. Definitely try them out. Atmosphere: 3 Service: 3 Taste: 2.5 Price: 3 Uniqueness: 3 Presentation: 2 Overall, 16.5/30 or 55% #taquería #wholefoods #tacotuesday#tacos #ambersfoodreviews
