Pizza Chicago

Today, after a victorious lacrosse game, I headed to Pizza Chicago on El Camino Real. Usually, I come here in groups (like with my basketball team), but since it was the only place open near me this late tonight, I decided to go. Today, I ordered a 14” air jordan pizza. I had meant to get thin crust, but I messed up my order. This pizza was ok, but there were many parts that made it unenjoyable. Although the crust was really good and I loved the slight crunchy and lightness of it, the tomatoes were not super fresh or light. Furthermore, the basil wasn’t strong or fresh and the garlic was not spread evenly enough, giving me huge bites of garlic that stung my mouth and gave me bad breath. I am sure that the other pies here are usually pretty good though. I just wouldn’t recommend the air Jordan. They also have soups, salads, pastas, and subs that aren’t bad. In addition to that, they also have a dessert item called the cookieza. It is a large thick cookie topped with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream. The picture is from two years ago, because I didn’t order one today. (Side note: the wait time here for pizza is about 30 minutes, so it’s always better to call ahead.) Overall, this is a good spot for large groups, but not as enjoyable for smaller groups that are limited to less pizza. I think getting to try the different pies they offer is part of the experience. Anyway, Pizza Chicago serves decent pizza, but at the price and wait time, I don’t know if it’s worth it. Atmosphere: 4 Service: 2.5 (slow but friendly) Taste: 3 Price: 2 ($35 for that pizza) Uniqueness: 3.5 Presentation: 3.5 Overall, 18.5/30 or 61.67% #pizzachicago #airjordan #pizza #paloalto#ambersfoodreviews
