Chang'an Artisan Noodle

Today, after a close Paly lax game, I came home to takeout from Chang’ an. It is a new place on Rengstorff. The restaurant that was there before was a noodle place as well, and it was ok. The takeout from here was about the same level. My mom got their tomato braised beef noodle soup and chicken cutlet curry rice. The curry was ok, but it was a bit heavy in the salt. It was a lighter curry, which I like, but it was a little too grainy. The chicken cutlet was pretty good though. The beef noodle soup looked spicy, but it wasn’t really. The broth wasn’t super rich, but it had a nice tomato flavor. The noodles were decently bouncy and chewy, which I appreciated. Overall, the food from here is better than it looks, but not amazing.
