Chef Hung Beef Noodle

Chef Hung Beef Noodle in Cupertino has an older location in LA. Many Asian restaurants or cafes coming up from LA are very hyped up. (85 Degree C, Din Tai Fung, ...) However, I don’t believe this place should be as hyped up as it is. This may be because I wasn’t in the greatest mood, but I didn’t really see anything that stood out. We ordered two beef noodle soups, their Anka pork chop rice, wontons with spicy sauce, and soup dumplings. Their noodles were too soft in my opinion and not chewy enough. Also, they were very clumpy at times. The broth and meat were pretty good though. The rice was also pretty good, but there really wasn’t much of it. The wontons were not too spicy, which was nice, but the meat in the wonton was dull. I wish it were more flavorful. Lastly, the soup dumplings were not that great. There was barely any soup in them, the skin was limp, and the meat wasn’t flavorful. Overall, these dishes aren’t entirely bad, but the price to portion/taste ratio sure is.
