Bumble

Today, I finally visited the immensely popular brunch spot named Bumble. I’ve seen this homey shop on so many instagrams and Snapchat stories, so I decided to finally see what the hype was all about. As soon as I walked in, the fun and lively atmosphere brightened me up immediately. With families and friends chatting while eating in the area in the various unique rooms, Bumble gives off a great homey vibe. At the adult patio where we sat, the environment was nice and refreshing, especially since there was a big tree right in the middle. When we sat down, our server greeted us with a warm smile and offered us water. We then began to look at the menu. Although it’s a semi-short menu, we had trouble deciding what to order since everything looked so good! We ended up getting the soup and salad combo with the bumble salad, the eggs Benedict, and the pink waffle with chocolate chips. We also ordered a latte at the end. The soup and salad combo was decent. The soup of the day was corn chowder, and it was quite grainy. It wasn’t super flavorful, and the corn was very awkward in what tasted like very blended mashed potatoes, but it wasn’t completely horrible. The salad was also mediocre. The different elements didn’t go quite too well with one another, but like the soup, it wasn’t too bad. The eggs Benedict however was much better. The egg was poached nicely with a beautiful runny yolk, the ham was thick cut, and the bread did a good job of dipping up the yolk and hollandaise sauce, which was also pretty good. The ham was a bit too salty for my liking, but other than that, the dish was great. The house potatoes on the side were also really nice. Lastly, the pink waffle was so soft and chewy. The melty chocolate chips were a nice addition to the dish, and it was quite enjoyable. The latte was quite bitter, but it wasn’t half bad. Overall, this bumbling :) place serves decent food in an extremely welcoming and comfortable atmosphere that allows for instaworthy pics, so I would recommend this place if you’re just in the search for a brunch spot to hang out with friends.
