Cafe Pro Bono

These pictures do not do Cafe Pro Bono justice, but unfortunately, they were taken by @fu.ethan , so there was nothing I could do about it. Just kidding, thanks Ethan for even taking any photos! Anyway, Cafe Pro Bono is a great place to get quality pasta. We have never actually dined in, but we have gotten takeout many times. Usually we order other pastas like the Mancini Spaghetti (bolognese sauce) or Trenette alla Vongole (clam and white wine) but my mom decided to order the Tagliatelle alla Pro Bono (chicken Alfredo) and capellini (tomatoes). I love the regulars, but these pastas weren’t bad either! My mom usually doesn’t like Alfredo, but she actually really enjoyed this one. With sautéed mushrooms, fresh chicken, and a lighter Alfredo sauce, this flat homemade pasta was delicious. It was so savory and every bite left me wanting more. The capellini however was a bit too oily for my taste. It was made with extra virgin olive oil, but it didn’t allow for me slurp on my noodles. My lips were constantly coated in a thick layer of oil, and it wasn’t particularly pleasant. The fresh tomatoes though, were fantastic. I picked and ate all of them out because they were just a wonderful burst of flavor in my mouth. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place if you’re searching for some nice pasta.
