Local Union 271

Today, I met up with my friend from New Jersey, and we had lunch downtown at Local Union 271. When this place first opened, it was pretty popular. With the rustic interior decor and chill vibes, Local Union 271 was and is the perfect place to grab brunch, lunch, or dinner with friends. Their menu is composed of dishes made from completely local farm-sourced and organic ingredients. Hence the name Local Union 271. I had been there a couple of times, so I was somewhat familiar with their menu, but I decided to try something new today. I ordered the chicken and waffles, while my friend and her mom ordered an omelette and a salad. My chicken and waffles were ok. The chicken was fresh and nicely seasoned, but the waffles were sub par. They got soggy really quickly and didn’t pair too well with the waffles. The sauces on the side were pretty good though. My friend’s omelette and salad all seemed pretty good though. From past dine-ins, I also know that their grilled cheese, mindful meats burger, and Caesar salad are really good. I remember the first time I came here during the first week they opened was that their croutons were nicely crunchy, but not hard to bite through. Overall, Local Union 271 offers pretty delicious food made from farm fresh and organic ingredients in a nice relaxing atmosphere.
