Red Hot Wok

Happy Chinese New Year Eve! The last picture features my mom’s delicious cooking. Each dish is pretty traditional for a New Year’s Eve dinner and drinks there’s a Chinese idiom that goes with many. However, since we did not eat out today, the food pictured is from Red Hot Wok of Cupertino. It was last night’s dinner, and it was pretty good! We used to go there a lot, but not anymore. It was a nice throwback, but it used to be better. These dishes were all very fresh and flavorful, but too much so at some points. There was too much salt and oil in some, and it made it less enjoyable. Also, some of the dishes we loved are not even sold there anymore, which was quite disappointing. On the other hand, if you decide to come, make sure to try their shaved snow. Their mango and taro flavors are amazing. The flavors are rich and authentic, and the flaky ice just melts in your mouth. Overall, this is a pretty good place for Taiwanese food and even though it used to be better, it’s still pretty good.
