First of all, I’d like to congratulate the Gunn Boys Varsity team on their win tonight for senior night! It was a great game to watch, and I'm glad they got the dub. Also, great job to the cheer team. Thanks for being our biggest fans at every home game!! Sad to see the seniors go :( Anyway, today after school was the first time in a while that I didn’t have basketball practice, so on my way home, I decided to stop by Baron Barista, a new coffee shop on El Camino. The atmosphere is modern, yet welcoming at the same time, with nice background coffee shop music. It was a pretty quiet place, and it wasn’t very busy. I ordered an ice chocolate and a chocolate croissant. The prices were very high and that together costed me $10. The ice chocolate was pretty sweet, but it had a rich and creamy chocolate flavor which was nice. The chocolate croissant wasn’t warmed up, but it was still pretty good. I loved biting into the chocolatey parts even though the dough itself wasn’t that soft. Overall, this really would be a place I would come to often because it’s a nice, hip work space, but the price is just a bit too high for my liking. I ended up staying there for a couple of hours doing some homework on my computer, but at some point I fell asleep, and I actually had quite a nice nap, which shows that the ambience is really nice.
