Rincon Sabroso

Happy Taco Tuesday! Today, we headed to Rincon Sabroso, a small, lively place in Mountain View. With spanish music blasting from the speakers and the channel turned to soccer games, the ambience was quite nice. As for the service though, I waited 20 minutes for 3 tacos, a cheese quesadilla, and a pupusa. There were not that many people there as it was pretty late, but I still had to wait quite a while, which I did not appreciate. However, the food wasn’t bad at all. The pupusas are a traditional Salvadoran dish made from homemade corn tortillas stuffed with cheese and zucchini, chicken, or beef. I opted for the chicken, and it was pretty good. The corn tortilla was very fresh and the aroma filled up our car. The tacos themselves were what’d I call above average. The tortillas were slightly crispy and the meat was all fresh, juicy, and savory. The cheese quesadilla on the other hand, was quite disappointing. The cheese was kind of dry and it just didn’t taste amazing. Overall, I would recommend people to check this place out, but definitely don’t come if you’re in a rush.
