Queen’s Cafe is not exactly a cafe you would expect to serve insta worthy dishes, but some people, or in this case, cafes are fall of surprises! Pictured here is a matcha bingsu, or Korean shaved ice. As the lady was meticulously making this dish, we watched along and saw her repeatedly put layers of plain shaved ice, condensed milk, and matcha powder. In the end, the dish was topped with red bean, green tea ice cream, and almonds. They gave us condensed milk on the side to pour on top too. I thought that it would really just look good for the picture, but to my surprise, it actually tasted really good too. The shaved ice isn’t presweetened so the only sweetness is coming from the condensed milk or ice cream on top. That made it easier to enjoy, as the matcha flavor really came out. Each bite was the same as the last because of how they layered it. Overall, this is quite an enjoyable dish, both to your eyes and taste buds. Queens also serves a bunch of other cool dishes. Atmosphere: 1.5 (smells stinky because of the durian haha) Service: 4 Taste: 4 Price: 3 Uniqueness: 4 Presentation: 4 Overall, 20.5/30 or 68.33% #queenscafe #bingsu #matcha #dessert#ambersfoodreviews
