Absolute Bagels

There are so many food, drinks, and desserts that are “must haves” when visiting New York, and bagels are definitely on the list. Today, we headed up to New York again. For breakfast we had bagels at the renowned Absolute Bagels. I have to say, they were absolutely amazing. We got the everything bagel with plain cream cheese, the sesame seed bagel with blueberry cream cheese, and a garlic bagel with lox cream cheese. All three were amazing. The bagels were so soft, chewy, and they all had a nice light note of toastiness. The cream cheese was plentiful and delectable. The lox spread, which is cream cheese with smoked salmon mixed in, didn’t taste overpowering, the blueberry cream cheese had real blueberries mixed in, and the plain cream cheese was just plain delicious. There were lots of bagels and spreads to choose from, but these pairings were really good, and many people recommended them, so if you go, try these! There is usually a line too, but we got lucky, and didn’t really have to wait. Overall, these are definitely the best bagels and cream cheese I’ve ever had, and I don’t know if anything will ever beat them.
