La Pizza & La Pasta

After a snowy, windy day in Princeton, New Jersey, we headed up to New York for an impromptu mini food adventure. We hit a lot of spots, but the first was Eataly NYC Flatiron. Eataly is an Italian marketplace with counters, restaurants, and cooking demos. At the counters, you could find various cheeses, breads, meats, beers, desserts, drinks, and more. At the restaurants you could have little tastes of Italy. We chose to go to La Pizza & La Pasta, which was actually featured on worth it buzzfeed. The pizzas are all cooked in Rossopomodoro pizzeria napoletana. We ordered the Margherita Verace TSG that was amazing. The sauces was bursting with flavor, the cheese was fresh, the basil added a nice touch, but most importantly, the crust was so soft and chewy, yet it held the other ingredients perfectly. Next, we ordered two pastas. The first was the calamari with ring shaped pasta imported from Gragnano cooked al dente and various seafoods. The seafood taste smelled somewhat strong, but the taste was not too overpowering, and the noodles were really bouncy and chewy, which was nice. The other pasta was the tagliatelle, which had fresh pasta made in house with short rib ragù. The meat fell apart easily at the grain, and the fresh pasta was light and delicious. Overall, I had a good experience here at this restaurant in Eataly, and I would definitely recommend it. Atmosphere: 4 (the whole marketplace area is really cool) Service: 4.5 (the food comes really quickly) Taste: 4.5 Price: 3.5 (average price, but good quality) Uniqueness: 4 Presentation: 3 Overall, 23.5/30 or 78.33% @eatalyflatiron #lapizzaandlapasta #eatalynycflatiron#eataly #margheritaveracetsg#margheritapizza #calamaripasta#gragnano #tagliatelle #freshpasta#rossopomodoro #pizzanapoletana#ambersfoodreviews
