Taiwanese wheel cakes are a staple street food. The batter is put into special molds, and there are different flavors, including red bean, custard, chocolate, taro, and more. This place is one of the only places I know that actually sell these. My mom is friends with the owner, the lady who makes them. She has a stand right outside her bakery, which also has some good Taiwanese breads and pastries. Back to the wheel cakes! They have a crispy exterior, a fluffy inside, and a delicious filling.
