Time after time, I have ventured to San Francisco in hopes of eating the Rebel. In the past, my hopes have always been crushed, but today, they were not. We finally managed to come early enough to get the Rebel, a savory muffin with a soft-cooked egg within. We got a bit too excited, so we bought six, along with two croissants, a scone, and something random I pointed at. We had two of the Rebels warmed up to eat right away. They definitely did not disappoint. The muffin itself was delicious, with asiago, sausage, and green onions. It was so moist and fluffy. The egg inside was soft and creamy. The other pastries were fantastic as well. The scone was flaky and it was sweet, but it also had hints of black pepper.
