Tacos Los Naranjos

Today is taco Tuesday, so here's the review! Redwood City has countless taquerias, but one place that I've heard stands out, is Naranjos Taqueria, so I decided to check it out. I had pretty high expectations, but the results are inconclusive. I ordered 4 different types to share with my mother and brother. When I sunk my teeth into the carne asada, my mouth was immediately set on fire. Boy, was that spicy! The same happened for all flavors except for the barbacoa. The barbacoa was only topped with cilantro, onions, and lime. It was amazing. The meat was so juicy and tender. I didn't know that they came with different toppings, but if I end up going again, I'll know to ask them to only but cilantro and onions. Next, the tortilla on all the tacos got super soggy and wet from the plate (due to the careless plating and heat in the foil), so when holding the tacos, your hands will get very messy. I recommend not getting the tacos to-go or just eating it deconstructed with a fork and knife. Lastly, the cheese quesadilla was good, the tortilla was toasty and the cheese was super stretchy and it was the epitome of a classic cheese quesadilla. Overall, I did not enjoy the spice, but I will not deduct points based on the spiciness. 6.5/10 #tacotuesday
