Super Tacos El Conrro

El Camino is one of the busiest streets, and it runs through countless cities, but in this particular city, Mountain View, lies a taco truck that is hidden in plain sight. I tried four tacos, each with a different type of meat. It was hard to choose since they had so many different options. I had pretty high expectations for these tacos, but they didn't quite meet them. The meat wasn't as juicy as I would have liked, but the spices on the meats were nice. I couldn't tell between a lot of them, and all, but one (the one in the second pic) tasted pretty similar to me, and it was only the texture that really changed. I don't have a spectacular palette though, so I can't really be a judge of that. On the plus side, the meat definitely wasn't too oily, which was great. The cilantro and onions were fresh and they added a nice crunch and flavor to the tacos. Next, the tortillas, are homemade, but they had an awkward stale crunch on the rims. I'm not sure if they were stale, fried, or something else. They did hold well though. Lastly, right next to where you order your food is a little bar with radishes, limes, and different salsas. They even provide little plastic ziploc bags for your limes. The lime really adds a nice touch to the meat, and the radishes add a really nice crunch. The salsa, on the other hand, was real hot! I had a tiny dip, and my mouth was on fire, so for those who are just a little bit masochistic, this would be perfect for you. I have been here before and the burritos and quesadillas were pretty average. Overall though, for the price of only $2 per taco, I'd say that it's worth it if you're just looking for a quick eat. Not the highest quality, but still decent. 6.5/10 #tacos
